Yes, we have had two storms this year one 2 weeks ago of 12 inches and another this week of 6 inches. The ground was not froze enough to use the snowblower so had to use the ATV with plow. Then the temps warm up anrd most of the snow from the first storm disappeared and now the second is melting away too. What a weird winter it is lol Canada for you.

Everyone needs a lifesize "Wile E".

For many years Wile E rode in the passenger seat of my pick up. Recent years he has been bouncing between vehicles as my son sometimes takes him to school.

We called my inlaws the other day on our way back to town after an evening of casino hopping in SW Michigan in a snowfall to ask if their driveway needed shoveling. They said yes. So we drove over. While there was 2-3" of snow on the ground, there was MAYYYBBBEEEEE 1/2" of snow on their drive!

I got a beer out of the deal, so it was worth the trip. :drink:

I Got to plow with it for the first time last weekend. Worked awesome until the plow solenoid that i had previously told myself needed replacing quit about an hour in. I guess its good to have happen on an inch of slush than on a real snow. I also stumbled on an older set of loaded rear turf tires for 350$ on craigslist so im hoping the combination of the loaded tires and the weight box will make it pretty unstoppable. I'm tossing around the idea of siping the heck out of the craigslist tires since they'll only get used in winter.

I like your plow setup. Did you convert a truck plow or did you buy it. That is also a nice ballast box. You have a very nice snow moving setup.

Thanks! the plow was taken off of an f250 and rebuilt since it was in rough shape. To mount it to the tractor i just cut the truck mount up a little and welded it to a piece of 1/2" plate that bolts to the front and made some strut bars that go under the axle and bolt to the FEL mount. we use westerns on the trucks but the mounts are too wide to fit between the tractor tires so i used this curtis instead. Im not sure yet if i'll keep it electric or switch it to work off the FEL hydraulics. This setup is kind of an experiment so i wanted to keep the plow original in case we decide to sell it and go a different direction like a fel mounted blade. I built the ballast box instead of buying one because i wanted to tuck it as close to the tractor as possible and i wanted to build in a storage area.

Anyone have any snow yet? I'm actually looking forward to a blizzard just so I can clear my driveway lmao
Got 6 inches last night. Spent 1:45 clearing it this morning. My goal is to do it well enough that when the plow goes by, he has nothing left to dump in my driveway, so I clear about 75 feet of the road off to my left.

We had 4" yesterday.... real cold. Looks like a week of cold forcasted with little snow. Earlier in the year they forcasted massive snowfall for us. Guess they lied.
Yesterday i put on the winter tractor equipment, but left off the chains for the time being. Ground still to exposed though frozen. Dont want the chains to tear it up.

Mounted my new BX5450 onto the Tractor today. I opted for the factory hydraulic chute rotation, I've been reading this thread for 2 years and you guys have some great ideas for chute rotation, but in the end it was just SO easy to throw money at the problem and move on! It's also is under warranty through Kubota.

I had a Rear Mount Blower, but I want to go FORWARD!!

If it NEVER snows again, I'll be happy!

Cheers,
BN
