By mid morning we had about 10" of heavy snow.
By 3 PM when I finally went out to do something with it, it had settled down to about 5" of something.
I didn't even sink quite 1/2 way in it, and all the frost had pulled out of the driveway.
Blew some off 2 passes down the driveway, blowing a bit of brown snow at times,
tired using the blade in a couple of spots, moved a bunch of driveway around.
I utterly detest spring plowing.

Nothing but rain and lots of wind, here. We only average 33" of snow per year here, nothing like some of you, but this year... nada. Just a few dustings, the plow did not see a single use.

Of course, we got something like 30 inches in a single event March 30, 1983, a year similarly warm to this. Lesson: it ain't over until it's over.

U.P. cobbled together snow weapons a old tracked 24" snow blower aptly named the "snow dozer electric start" with a 19mm socket and cordless drill after the recoil exploded used for path and deck to cabin, and an ATV with cheaply made Chinese snowblower (slow going) but does the job lol.

My MTD snow blower hand pull start assembly blew itself apart this winter. After 20 years of service. I found a replacement online easily enough, they haven't changed that design in decades, and there's millions of engines out there in service. I think it was $60 (I honestly don't remember). Probably go another 20 years now.

There's still parts available for what you need. They're not expensive.

Thanks however I think I paid $50 bucks for my "snowdozer" used and abused almost 10 yrs ago. I've grown accustomed to using my cordless drill E-start backwoods "option".

Snow season is all done for this year. It started in early November and lasted until just before Christmas. Between new snow or windblown snow, it seemed like I was out every other day clearing new snow or drifts. Then the weather pattern changed and we have been getting 2+ months of slow melt. The slow melt is kind of nice, it has kept the roads from getting too soft. The photo was the last time I used the blower or blade just before New Years.
Tractor is a 50hp New Holland with a Titan attachments 72" snow blower and a Chinesium 84" hydraulic angle blade on the front. I think the brand was Bendall. I bought it on Ebay out of Minnesota.

Ok, it can be spring now!

Even with a very slow start, I've got my "fix" and am ready for the meltdown.
