That old hay dump rake brings back memories.. of the struggle to gather up hay when a kid.

That one would really struggle - kind of wide gaps between the tines!

I was at the tractor dealeer Thursday,, he sold me this snowblower,,
he said the discharge chute was an option,, but, they would include it free.
They are supposed to be out in a week to install the discharge chute.

I drove down the driveway with it running,, it did not pick up any gravel,,
I was concerned about that, as many complain about the blowers throwing gravel,,,
it just made a nice whirring sound,,,





Spring is almost here,,,

Being more of a city boy than a farmer, I fgured I should show my snow equipment that looks like a snowblower, because I surely don't know how CAD is going to blow snow with that JD390 whatever it is.



These were taken just after its weekly bath to knock some of the salt off. Jon

Actually you're not out of line here. I have friend who cleans the light fluffy snow off of his driveway with a rough cut mower. This one would do the same thing.

If I were you I'd be plowing up some big piles just so I could blow them away with the FEL blower.

What happens when you get icy blocks off the roof? Can it break some of them, push them, or does the pressure relief kick in?

Dont get ice from unheated roofs, but the hydraulic cut out would stop unit

While out walking my dogs I realized the lake snow had receded enough for me to recover an old diving raft my father had built in the 80s. That old treated lumber cannot be beat and I have an idea to recycle the raft as the base of gazebo or as a standing platform.

Well we had a week of frozen ground which was nice, now back to this.







All thawed out and just mud now.

Chickens are having a ball playing in the mud though.

I was looking at my game cam and got a few nice pics of the last snow cleaning. had about 12-14" of standing snow at the time in this particular area.


its been snowing all day lightly but theres about 3-4" on ground this evening. ill be plowing again tomorrow morning i guess.
