Good job. I can relate to being retired with a well equipped shop. Bought all my big stuff before I retired. Having a hard time getting steel drops for projects though. Scrap yards do not allow picking anymore.

I have a small Jet lathe, and I want to get a horizontal mill yet. Most of the Bridgeports I have looked at are pretty well clapped out, so I am looking at a Precision Mathews PM-940 as an option.
Yeah, I used to be able to pick up scrap and drops at the local scrap yard, but they were bought out by OmniSource, and they put an end to that. There is a local dealer, just a few miles from my house, that carries a lot of surplus, irregular and end of run material, and sells it at a good price. A local Amish welding/fabricating shop sells material cut to size so cheap I don't know how they can do it. I had them cut mn Mathewse two 8" X 18" X 1/4" plates for a project, charged me $20.65. They blasted and powder coated all the blower parts for me too, that was $162.00 total. They have the seat pan, side panels and grille now to powder coat them JD green.

I got a Precision Mathews knee mill, it's alright, definitely not as nice as a well cared for bridgeport.

Will the entire edge of the plow contact the driveway when angled? Looks like the SSQA plate will be close to dragging on the driveway with the plow blade in that position.

No, the plate isn't dragging. As for full contact with ground when angled, there's adjustments I could make there, increase slop to add lateral play, also increase/decrease the attack angle of the plow itself so that it sits more flush when angled. I need snow to see what needs adjusting, we'll get there.

I like your perseverance. You will be ready for winter!

That said, keep your eyes open for a used 60" ATV plow. That would be perfect for version 2.0

Found a used front blower for my L4240HST-3. Installed the mid pto and went through the blower. Ended up rebuilding the lift cylinder, changed gearboxes X 2 fluids, greased adjusted and tested. Waiting for my first snow!

Looks like the one that I have on my Kioti. What size is it? mine is a 66 inch made by woods.

You will love these front mounted blowers the best way to blow IMO.
