Mike, you did not offend me and the fitting you recommend might be better. Did enjoy some of things you brought up in your posts. Only a fool does not consider other recommendations. Big part of problem in our country today. Still believe he will be fine with his original question.
Worked for large heavy equipment company years over 30 ago on machines that had more hyds than any excavator or tractor loader backhoe. We used hoses and most with I think npt ends, all made to our company's specs. The type of fittings used to connect the hoses to cylinders or valve body or to hyd pump were carefully specified. Each machine was heavy load tested and operated before ever shipped. Know our product held high industry reputation.
For my own use prefer having hose made for the application with end fitting that is what is needed to connect directly. Still have had emergency with hoses that have even two adapters between hoses and machine connection to get machine running, NOW.
