Please Help need alternator for kioti LB2204

Hi was wondering if someone could help me out... I have an older kioti lb2204 great little machine, unfortantly the alternator went out and I am in need of a new one was wondering if there was a cross ref. to a Kubota or one that is close to fit...I took it off the tractor and put it on the bench to clean the brushes but as I figured none of the bolts will come out of the aluminum housing and are very easy to strip...So I am looking for another alternator...If someone could help me out or send me in the right direction I would be very appreciative...Thanks for your time and have a good day..

You may have to try a local alternator shop. They should have something there that will work. Mine's not original. It looks like the one from my old chevy. Good Luck.

I retrofitted a A/C Delco on my Belarus works well. I have read that there is a one wire Alternator on the market, has voltage regulator built in. :thumbsup:

thanks for the reply...I am going to try to find something close and just fabricate it to fit...Although I did find an alternator off of a kubota D1402 engine and looks like mine, so I might give that a try...I will post back when I find something or get one fabricated to fit the machine..Again thanks for all the help

that's great...so it's actually the factory one, so I will not have to change the wiring plug that goes to the back of the alternator? When I get a few extra bucks I will be calling soon...thanks again Wallace tractor..

At the going price for the alternator I think it's the op who will likely be bleeding...cash that is

Check out the price of a JD, NH or Kubota alternator on a 15 year old model before being too critical. I haven't checked but these low volume specialty parts are costly partly because of the amount of time they sit on a shelf and the small production runs at the factory.

If it's a diesel what do you need an alternator for? Just charge the battery between uses.

I'm not being critical. It was and is in jest,as in humor because I feel the op's pain in having to spend that much for an alternator vs. fixing the one he has.
