Good evening all,
This afternoon afternoon I received some terrible news, my stepdaughter, Stephanie, had been involved in a serious automobile accident. It seems a flatbed truck hauling roundbales had an insecure load. A roundbale fell from the flatbed and bounced once onto the hood and windshield of Steph's Beetle convertible. Her car left the road crossed a field and ended up in a culvert, she had to be cut from the vehicle.
Stephanie is doing as well as can be expected. While she has suffered two fractured vertebrae in her neck, she maintains full movement of her arms and legs and is awake and alert. The doctor is very hopeful for a full recovery, but steph must undergo surgery to repair and fuse the damaged vertebrae.
Over the last couple of years I have come to realize what a great bunch of ladies and gentlemen hang out on this board and I would like to ask a favor of you. Stephanie's surgery is tomorrow at noon and I wondered if you all could please keep stephanie in your thoughts.
She is a beautiful and tough young women, but I can tell she is scared. It certainly can't hurt to have as many people as possible pulling for you when you are about to go through something as delicate as spinal cord surgery.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts
Mark
