Thanks be to God for answered prayers. Ken Sweet
In my own, direct, experience, this is also a good way and a great opportunity to transform your 'stepdaughter' into your 'daughter', too. In the end, the 'step' relationship term is a blackeye that does not need to be there. I was lucky enough to experience this 'happening'.
Best wishes, you are in good hands ! (Go get a copy and read it !).
So happy things went well!Don,t call your daugther a step daugther as it,s so plain you love her.I wish the very best for your family, take care Dave
I wanted to take a moment to address these two posts as they hit very close to home.
The circumstance that surrounded my addition to this family are fairly complicated. The children's father was a friend of mine and passed suddenly at a young age (49). As I see it I could never be their "father". I love them and would do anything I could to help them, but I cannot be their father. That job had already been taken, and I could never replace him. So in the absence of another name I call them my step kids, there is no negative connotation in this for me.
The oldest and his wife have a young child and I have been bestowed the title of grandpa. That honor was enough for me.
This was not meant to chide your comments, I realize that they were offered in the finest spirit. I only wanted to explain and make sure you understood the situation.
Thanks again
Mark
I know it wasn't intended directly to me but I can truly relate...'nuff said, Pardner.![]()

1* Stepahanie is at Aultman Hospital in Canton.
2*The report is that Stephanie is doing fantastic. She is able to eat, and as soon as they have her new brace fitted, they plan to have her up and walking. She has been released from ICU and is in her own room:thumbsup: Hopefully we will have her home in the next couple of days. All has turned out very well indeed, Stephanie definetly has been looked out for.Mark
