Still, I'm going to buy OEM filters because I think Kubota and Toyota are careful. Purolater is for a generator and I think a good filter.

Last filter I used. Nice to see the markings on the right picture.

By the way, Wix makes Napa oil filters. I think if you change your oil regularly then any of the major brand filters will be fine. I boils down to brand loyalty I suppose.

UNLESS they come apart, and too many Frams are known to have done that!

It used to be the NAPA Gold were Wix, IIRC. Oreilleys used to carry Wix, don't know anymore. For oil and filter info, I go to 540rat's blog and Bob Is The Oil Guy.

What? This can't be so, can it? I recently saw a tractor filter made in India or maybe Pakistan.

It says car filters but a lot of guys shop for crossover deals for tractors and the cheapest price so who knows what you get?
Watched a video years ago on YouTube and so guy in the States went a bought many different brands of oil filters, went home and cut them apart to measure the spring pressure and the length of the filter material. I can not remember what he said was the best filter but remember him say don't even use a Fram on a wheelbarrow

I've given up on Fram. I wonder if the high end ones are any better? AC Delco I can get but Fix is hard to find unless I get the NAPA numbered one.

For tractors, I go with OEM only. Is that wrong?
orileys is about the only play I know to get wix except online.

The better fram filters are good. I have ran alot of the synthetic media "XG" fram filters and I like them.

what if you don't buy the filter made in the indonesia sweatshop or wherever? They don't have a job then can't feed their family. Cost of living is much lower there, even on $2 a day and they still can buy food and housing for their family. Money in one country does not translate to another at all. It's why you can live like a millionaire in other parts of the world on your basic SS but can't even pay for heat in the US.
Who knows where they really come from? It's a dilemma for sure that we probably can't solve since we are only given so little information, and who knows if it's true?
Is your tractor made the same way? How about your phone where people are jumping out of buildings because the conditions are so horrible? Kids working the lithium mines so we can have our Ford lightnings and DeWalt tools? Seems awful if we have to cut down the forests to be green.
We don't have much of a choice in who to trust, but just hope that companies that to manufacture treat their workers well so they want to come back to work.
