I haven't had a lot of time to look im sure the info is here.

The other night I used my kubota l2900 4wd with a massey 2 bottom plow. My buddy was using his massey 50 with a massey 2 bottom plow. Same field at same time. I have loaded r4 tires. He has 3/4 worn out ag treads. He was out plowing me. His tires aren't even loaded. No extra weight. How could he plow stuff that I couldn't?

Plowing is all about plow set-up and traction, getting the HP onto the dirt.

Dry weight, the Massey weighs over 1,000 lbs. more than yours. And some will say that weight is 'placed' better on the Massey.

And you wouldn't be the first to notice that the Massey will outpull the others.

As Far As I am concerned the r4 tires are worthless for anything but not messing up your lawn. Put on a set of ags and wow what a difference. My 5740 with loaded r4s wont pull a six foot disk on plowed ground with out spinning unles I have it in 4 wdrive.

Kubota's are light weight machines compared to MF's. Even with loaded rears, your 2900 probably weighs in at 3500 lb or so. That 50 is at least 1/2 ton heavier and that makes a big difference in getting traction.

R4's are great for what they are intended for, general purpose, do everything decent. For plowing R1 (Ag's) are MUCH better and the traction difference is massive. My neighbor has R1's on his Kubota and can pull better than me in the wet mud. Now on dry ground my R4's grab a LOT better than his R1's and I can pull much easier than he can. Just a matter of the right tires for the job. The MF also has a weight advantage so that helps a lot also!
Also Rambler makes a great point - if the plow is "set" right it will pull much easier

Thanks everyone .. im trying to find info on how to set it right. I think I had it set right but would like to know for sure. I know the older manuals showed how to set everything.

IMO Plant flowers around your 2 bottom and buy a small field ripper you will be happier.
