From the pics, "youre not stuck" Ive been worse. Upside is it doesnt look like your engine was underwater. Your rear end probably has some mud, but thats not bad. Id still flush and fill all fluids due to the time its been out there.

I think you need to go backwards. Im not sure if those sicks in the picture were put there while trying to get out or not.

Some surface area is needed. Thick plywood or solid wood. Sand ladders. something simiar. Then take a Jackall, put it on what your using for"surface area" and lift the *** end up. Once the wheels are a bit clear. slde something under them, wood, tree.. whatever is handy, to fill the hole. Then try winching or even driving back.
I wouldnt be suprised if you had some stumps or sticks jamming the rear up.

Good advice. Contacted guys for help who have worked in worse as noted. The area in front is jambed between stumps. Not sure what is holding rear, but lifting the rear is the first thing we will try. Jim

be careful lifting the rear without backing up a little first. these thing are fragile when your pulling with 12000 lbs winches. I'm not there to assess the situation, but look first then make a plan. Good luck

Guys it drove into the hole so the easiest way would be to pull it back out ,But after sitting for weeks you'll need a shovel and some muscle so roll up your docker slacks and get a little dirty or call a tow truck .Why anyone would leave it stuck in the mud for weeks is beyond me , especially if they borrowed it ! A shovel 20 feet of chain and a comealong and it's out in 1/2 an hour ! you'll never pull it out going forward especially if you think is hung on a stump . Funny I don't see one boot print anywhere near that machine so nobodies trying to hard to get dirty !

I have a 8,000lb winch that's mounted on a reciever plate,it can also be chained to the tree and have a spare car battery that will run it for good bit before needs to be charged. If you can still get down to the front of it and use a snatch block to a tree behind it and pull. It may have a small stump between the A-arm,I think the other should have some kinda skid plate(plastic). If pull the dip stick and check if milky and tilt the bed and pull the plastic tube off to the air intake and crank case to see if water got that high,if it all looks good,I would go ahead and start,then change all them including rear diff.when get it home. I stick mine all the time but never left it. Good luck hope all goes well...

They do have a couple of military bases in Virginia. Just convince them to use it as a military training exercise.

Lets not try to reinvent the wheel here guys ! It's a partially stuck 4 wheeler not a duce and a 1/2 with covered wheels , it's going to require a little muscle and a short shovel a 20 foot long chain and a good come along and it's out Period ! Bring a junk chainsaw to use limbs to shore it up while digging and it has to come out the way it drove in , Don't attach the chain to any parts you want to keep! My son is 32 I have way too much experience freeing stuck tractors /bobcats/ cars /trucks /4 wheelers /dirt bikes /lawn tractors / a 450 dozer /recently a backhoe and believe it or not a jet ski in a tree ! Don't you just love your kids ?
