Pole Barn add on to existing garage

George2615-
Thanks for the PM, I appreciate it. The "shed" I just finished is 12x16 with 12 foot walls for attic storage for my "stuff". Spent about same as you and also contracted out concrete work and garage door.

Plan is to add shed roof off all sides, hence height of shed walls, down the road. Wife already is shaking her head about $$$ spent for shed. She'll be so happy to hear that I want to spend more and make more storage for stuff. Really she's okay with it. She knows that doing it yourself saves money even if it hurts the body (my back is out right know).

Good luck with the rest ofthe project, enjoy doing it and enjoy the finished product.

Matt

Well, the concrete floor is in. Took wife out to show her the barn, she stared at one corner for quite a while. I asked her what she was looking at and she says, "Is this the corner where we are going to put the hot tub?"

Floor looks great, did you put a drain in it?
Don't give up an inch of space
Not even for a hot tub!

Already have a parts washer. I was thinking of another classic car.

No floor drain. I installed one in the original garage but have never used it. Both the original and this addition sit higher than the surrounding ground so won't get much water inside.

Progress is being made. Floor is now in. Garage door is installed. Outlets and switches are in (still have to tie into main breaker box in original garage). Have started insulating and putting up panels.

Progress looks good George!!! The only thing I would recommend is sealing off the opening to the main garage so all that clutter doesn't spill out into the new space:D
