The only problem I encountered with roof turbines is deep snowfall that is deeper than the unit. It will actually stop the unit and snow will get inside at that point. Doesn't happen very often but it can happen.

They sell "Winter Covers" for turbines, essentially draw string bags. The good ones are UV resistant. Some folks use plastic garbage bags and duct tape.

Not a good idea if you really do need enhanced ventilation during cold weather but lots of folks don't.

If you don't mind me asking, What did your building cost you?

I also have a new 81 X120 pole building that has white steel walls with the bottom 4 painted yellow for contrast and white steel ceiling at 14 high, this building will be used for dog agility training. The end of the building first 16 X 81 feet will be seating / viewing area 2 bath rooms and a utility room each of these rooms will have its own fixture with the remainder 104湛 81 being dog running area the floor is green soccer turf. I have looked at various lighting scenarios and I initially wanted 18 six bulb T5 fixtures 6 rows of three but the fixtures are pretty expensive
So I have been looking at 20 four bulb T5 fixtures 5 rows of 4 and two over the running area and two 2 bulb T5 fixtures at the end seating /viewing area

Im thinking T5 over T8 because they are more efficient and put out even more light

I think this should be plenty of light ------any ideas for places to purchase these fixtures ---ie best price for the fixtures with bulbs and straight prong plugs, no motion, no emergency ballast I have been searching all over and the prices are nuts

Wow, just ran across this. Really nice. You came a long way since saying:

I'm planning on buying a 40x60 metal building with a 16' eve with at 4/12 pitch. I'm trying to get a ballpark of what others have paid for:
Site prep - my site is pretty level with no trees and easy access
Concrete - 6" thick with rebar
40x60x16 with at 4/12 or 6/12 pitch
insulation package
one 12x14' rollup door
one 10x10' rollup door
2 regular entrance doors
My budget is about 25K for everything

I bet you're glad you expanded! Lol. Just wondering if you ever moved full time to WV? What part? We may be neighbors.

Keving .... I'll state the obvious as well - beautiful building!! Like Molerj I'm looking for estimates on your costs for some of the specific areas .. As well as contractor suggestions by anyone. I'm in the RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA area and plan to build a 40x60x14 on my land. I've been leaning towards Lester Buildings (being a MN native) but I'm in early stages of evaluating options. Does anyone have any suggestions for builders of pole building of high quality (very similar to what Keving built) in NC? I need to really start from scratch ... As my current "area" is currently full of large pine trees?
