Sorry about the rain.

You lost me on the concrete truck. Was it filling your sonotubes? There is a picture of one full of water that looks empty, so I'm assuming you are going to put the posts in the sonotubes and then fill them with concrete, but I can't figure out what the concrete truck was doing there without any posts in the ground????

Did you pour a footing on the bottom of the holes to rest the posts on?

Yes they put about a 6-8" concrete base in all holes. The sonotubes are only used on some holes because they had to use the backhoe to dig those holes due to some very hard shale.

Is your webcam public? It would be cool to watch it being built...

Unfortunately, I don't have enough bandwidth to make it public. I'll keep posting pics though!

Very nice and cool use of the webcam.

I'm so jealous of all you guys building these killer barns/buildings....oh how I wish I could convince my SO that we need one. Although I'm not totally complaining as I was allowed to buy a Ford TLB and a NH tractor within the last year.

Keep the good pics coming.

Eddie, I'm using a webcam, it's a Sony RZ30N mounted on a pole up about 25 feet.

One heck of a nice camera. I'd be afraid someone would walk with it...
Great view there also! thnks for posting the pics, the barn will be nice.

The nor'easter is messing with the building plans... oh well, it will dry out...eventually, right?

The good thing about rain at this point of the project is that it looks like you have a drainage problem that your builder needs to address. You might want to show him the top picture of your last post so he can work on drainage when the ground dries out.

Great pics by the way. I love to watch projects and check everyday to see if you have posted.

I agree with Chris. There's too much standing water in that corner of your pad. The way it looks from the picture, the pad is low in that corner and allowing the water to back up into the building site. You really want a level pad to save on material you have to bring in later on. It's always easiest to do this before the walls go up.

While your at it, might as well cut down on the outside too and increase your drainage.
