Political calls vs. do not call list

My son got three political messages left on his cell from last night. Three! All from the Democratic predisdential candidate (now elect) or his wife. I laughed and explained to him that each of those calls cost him money.......and to expect this same candidate, now president elect, to cost him a lot more in the future.

Hopefully, the political call foolishness has about ended for awhile. One day, they may go the way of the telemarketers. Here's one avenue...

You register at www.StopPoliticalCalls.org, and you are put on a list. Some campaigns have agreed not to call numbers on that list.

My initial research suggests that it is a real organization, although I'm not sure how effective it is. I used a Mailinator address so that I did not have to give out my real email address. It did seem to help, although I can't be sure.

Or tell them you work on the other person campaign.

Just wondering, on the cell phones they have caller id, if you have it for only 10 or so people, why would you answer for any other number? Were they not calling from another area code? Those here did.
