Just left of the center of this picture, is the valley that the dam will close up. It doesnt look like it from here, but the dam is actually really big. Its 27ft from base to the top, and over 12,000 cu/yds of dirt. Inside slope ratio 3:1, outside 4:1. The pond project is being funded by the state, so the specifications are very strict.

Still panning... it looks like its really coming along here, when really, its just starting. A LONG way to go. A 4 acre pond is bigger than I had anticipated.

Off the subject, this is a pine caging project im working on. I have a long driveway to my future homesite. Approx 1/2 mile. I planted 800 pine trees in 2 rows all the way down most of it. I have heard horror stories of people losing more than half of them to deer. So im caging every one of them. I have caged over 400 so far. They are loblollies, and they are growing like weeds! I put a cup in the picture for size reference.
