Good for you and your wife goeduck. My wife passed ten years ago. We had forty six years together. I had hoped we could spend our last years together also. It just wasn't meant to be.
Like so many other things these days. The young think most things are fleeting or temporary. We had a good life for all that time. She endured a lot being with me.
The real mythconception - marriage will be easy and we don't really have to work at it.
Most anchors need some chain to work best. It also saves on wear next to the anchor, it's a tough environment.Breathing all that dust from that anchor chain free falling is like taking Geritol for people with iron deficiencies..............
I would think that anchor chain would be power out, what a racket that must be. For some reason I cant picture anchor chains on US Destroyers, but I'm mostly in the early build stages.

It acts as a shock absorber (when in the water) and there is a specific length to be used before transitioning to rope. It's been awhile since I did any sailing so I can't give you any advice on the length of the chain needed. Most anchors need some chain to work best.
100* isn't hot when it's a dry heat........
Neither is my oven
