Wow, great thread. I'm just back from a canoe trip with the boy scouts. This isn't exactly my porch, but it's one Michigan's porch to the other...

Last week we were at camp and did an easy mountain climb up Mt Arab in up state New York

Thats a beautiful shot and one heck of a climb !
Although that lake down the bottom would be a welcome sight on a hot day !

G'day Scotty, it is part of the old Adiroundack Fire Tower lookouts stations. We have climbed several of them over the years and always plan on doing two or three a year. Arab is a short climb, less than a mile, but it will get the heart beating a bit faster than normal.

I think, but not sure, the body of water below is Arab Pond.
