There are many different ways to store a post hole digger. Maybe use the search function here at TBN and you will find many. Here's a picture of mine.

I think that most phd can be had for under $1000. Mine happens to be a Land Pride PD35, the largest pto unit that Land Pride has. It was $2000, the 24" auger was $600 and the down pressure kit was $500. So to answer your question as far as how much $$$$ for what your looking at, it was $3100 over 5 years ago.
