I once did a thread POST YOUR PICTURES OF FORKS and itturned into a great number of photos by TBNrs for sharing fork ideas. I think it is time to try the same for boom poles. Post your pictures of your boom poles and boom ideas.

I'll start:

My pole had an almost useless round loop on it when I bought it. The chain hook would slip off and the chain would end up on the grass. I added a keyhole in a steel plate so the chain could be easily adjusted. The 3' chain has a grab hook on one end, slip hook on the other. Holes in the plate fit my big and small shackel. A 3/8 grab hook is also attached when I want to use a long chain.

In betweeen the two braces is another 3/8 grab hook. This doubles the lift capacity.

The pole has been modified to fit a cat I quick hitch.

A reciever at the end allows me to add a stinger for very tall loads very high.

This adapter allows the boom pole to be mounted on the FEL bobtatch.

The reciever at the tip of the pole is used for a 2x2 stinger jib. It has a lower lift capacity. Here it is used for a scarry lift. This is a 24' windmill tower. Thiongs got a little bouncy, but my Kubota once again did more than I expected.

What kind of other attachments could we put into the reciever?

Those are some good ideas.

However isn't the plate with the keyhole redundant of the grab hook welded just behind the plate?

My boom also has the loop and I've thought of adding a grab hook to the end to make it easier to use a chain.

Thanks

Almost redundant

The chain thru the keyhole is captive. It can not come off unless I take the hook pin apart and feed the chain thru the keyhole. It can not fall off, and is always where I need it. The 3' chain is short enough that it is not dragging the ground after hook up. For the cost of the grab hook, I feel it was money well spent.

This is a great idea. An FEL Quick Attach iMatch! This would allow you to mount any of your iMatch / Quick Hitch implements to the front of your FEL. An FEL mounted box blade or landscape rake ... hmmm.

I think this is pretty much the same as the TSC (500 lb model). Now mind you the vertical lift on this on is a tad higher than most....

Thanks, however I don't as yet have a FEL and am interested in 3Point height capibility. Any issues with sideway torck?
