power beyond flow to 3rd function valve - before vs after the rear-remotes valve?

WR Long also clarified that the hex fitting (looks like an "adapter" of sorts) is not an adapter but a "Power Beyond Sleeve" - I had not heard of this.

Inside the valve, the "power beyond" fluid path often joins with the "tank"/"low pressure" fluid path (in the case of my RR valve, this would be the soft fuel line, most likely, or in my loader valve, that's the "To Trans" line I labeled) - if you need to keep pressure (eg what power beyond loop does), then you need to separate these two paths. This fitting does that. eg https://summit-hydraulics.com/produ...eeve-for-p40g-series-summit-monoblock-valves/

On some loader valves, flow normally goes out the PB port and on to the remotes and 3pt. When you operate the loader valve, flow goes out the tank port to the transmission. Which means that no other valves in the chain will see any flow.
Now that I ~Mostly understand the flow, i was able to verify that both Loader and RR/Backhoe valves fully shunt/divert flow to Tank when active

  • 3pt hitch is inoperable when either rear-remote valve, or Loader valve, are opened significantly
  • rear remotes are inoperable when any Loader valve is significantly open
Also, the WRLong 3rd function valve, by virtue of having no Tank line, does not divert to tank - if it's not using all the flow, it sends the rest down the PB line.

Now, will I ever need my 3rd function when a rear remote IS operating (?). Anyone? I can't think of any, but this is famous last words.

The loader valve PB would be not too hard to get a new line on if you cracked the bolt loose then unbolted the valve body and moved it a little.

On the rear remote you have hard lines to deal with, at least one will have to be moved aside so your valve can be plumbed in.

You'd be most likely to want to use the loader and the 3rd function at the same time (assuming the 3rd function is running a grapple). Your loader valve is not going to allow that. I can't see when you'd want to use the 3rd function and a remote at the same time... it'd take two right hands for one thing.
