I was at TSC this past weekend to pick up some Power Service. Well, they had white and silver containers, and not knowing which to use, I bought one of each. Which is better for my mid to late eighties Iseki TU1700f with a 3 cylinder Iseki diesel?
TSC did not have have Fleet Guard antifreeze; they had Fleet Charge. What is the difference? I only bought one a gallon of the Fleet Charge.

white has the anti-gel in it and silver has just the clean stuff in it.

The silver bottle is suppose to be a concentrated formula, but as Mike said, no anti-gel additives.

Use the silver in the summer and the white in the winter.

Basicaly the Difference is

white 3 cetane
Anti-gel + pour point increasers

Silver has no anti-gel + pourpoint
has 3-6 cetane

If you use the white stuff can you use straight #2 year round? Or would you still get the winter diesel?

Where you live, you shouldn't need the antigel, so you can use the one without it. The only time you need the antigel is if it gets real cold there, and I don't think it does where you live. You may feel cold, but not cold enough to bother the diesel. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

they told me when i emailed them that you can only use #2 diesel with there product no #1 they said it wouldn't blend /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif don't ask me why or how.

I had a friend who collects the old time gasoline pumps that are clear he put some in it as he stores diesel in it. To his suprize it didn't blend it sunk to the bottom so after him telling me that i emailed one of the tech people. Never been able to figure out why it didn't blend in his #2 or why they say not to use with #1?

I would make sure you add whichever one correctly. If you add too much you could burn out injector(s). It is not that common but if you added like 1/2 gallon in a BX22 watch out!

Really you should not need to add anything to fuel if you have good clean fuel .Jsut buy it with the big rigs! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I know when I had my F350 POwerstroke the Power Service was a no no in the fuel.

I hate to ask as i'm hoping not to start another WW3

but you noted that powerservice was a no-no in a powerstroke? The same products used in PS is used in rotella Dfa and most popular fuel additives. I asked a simualr question to powerservice and they said a increased dose wouldn't hurt they indicated it was ok and that it was tested to clean depoists on pistons that was approx. 3-5x the recommended dose granted if you run the product almost straight it would probaly gall the pump or injectors /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

The only no-no i know of is FMC's no cetane booster. Just wondering what chemical or basis on finding that conclusion or was you talking about running about straight product?
thanks
