Updated Pics

I was able to tie into the FEL/MMM mount for the double-acting Power Steering Cylinder mount.

Unfortunately, I needed to come off of the cylinder with a short plate (1/2" thick x ~2" x ~3"to allow the cylinder to ride over the steering arm on the axle. Hopefully this won't cause much problems. I figure, at the least, it will bend the bolt on the steering arm and not the cylinder rod.

In the spring, I'll be moving the front axle ~4" forward, so I should be able to re-locate the stud back to the end of the cylinder rod.

Until the proper nut comes in, I'm using the threaded nut that came with the cylinder.

here is the new steering column and wheel, with the dash some-what in place. The new steering wheel looks high, but the old one would rub on the tops of my legs. I'm only 5'10", 175 lbs, so I'm not a big guy. The new wheel is ~5" higher than the old one. It's a very comfortable hight now.

And, a close-up of the Orbital Hand Pump mounting. As I said in earlier posts, this part of the pump should get very little forces, so I am confident that the 4 grade-5 bolts will be more than enough to keep it in place

The battery box for this tractor is behind the seat. It had lots of room on either side, so that is where I'm putting the priority valve (for the steering) and the Pressure Relief valve (for the FEL) on either side of that.

Here's the Priority valve (still need to plumb in the dump)

And, the Pressure Relief Valve (still need to plumb in the feed to the FEL)

Lastly, a view of under the seat. Rear of the tractor is at the top of the screen

The good news, is that the Power Steering is wonderful. Works like a champ.

The FEL is a tad slow, but it's useable. However, apparently, I haven't plumbed into the FEL PB port properly, because my 3pt isn't working.

Can someone with a Koyker snap a pic & let me know where the PB port is on this valve spool? I called Koyker. The port I think they were talking about, isn't working.

thank you everyone for all your help. I absolutely, positively LOVE the Power Steering!!!!! :D :D :D

Great news, we like to hear about progress. Did you put the PB sleeve in the valve. Without it the oil will just take the path of lest resistance. Best I can see in the photo of the valve the outlet end is on the top. If so I think the large hose coming straight out the top would be the PB port and needs the sleeve installed. The smaller hose closest to it is the other outlet going to the tank?

Good luck, keep us informed

Here are some photos from the 1st ~cough~ chore.

The MMM does fit with everything, but since it lifts by the 3pt, and the 3pt is currently dead until I find the PB port on the FEL spool, I had to remove it to plow (The MMM is 60" wide, FEL is only 48").

Again, I can't say enough how happy I am in the Power Steering. It is very quick and responsive. The Priority valve seems to do a great job diverting the un-needed flow to the FEL.

Also, I wanted everyone to know, that the my PS guy (Rick), read this thread and immediately called me. Apparently, we mis-understood our P's and T's when talking about the feed and return lines on the PS pump.

Maybe I should get those hearing aids my wife keeps threatening me with

Koyker has gotten back to me on the spool layout. Unfortunately, I had it plumbed correctly. So... now what?

If I take the PS & FEL completely out of the loop, and just run a line from the "O" port on the 3pt spool, to the "I" port, my 3pt does work. Since the FEL is after the PS, and the FEL works, I am thinking the problem is in the FEL plumbing.

Jimmer, Great to see it out "working" !! Very rewarding looking back on all the work, isn't it? If your wife is the one that took the pictures, you did well hiding that ear to ear grin......... wouldn't ever want her to know tractoring can be fun and not just hard work !!! Congratulations !!!!!!
