Sounds like a pretty good plan. I like gutters, but I hate cleaning them, and gutter guards tend to trap pine needles on top of the gutter guards and look horrible. If I didn't have gutters, shrubbery around the house with rock at the ground would be the next best thing.

I almost have to have gutters here, my soil is nothing more than slightly dirty sand and erosion is a big problem!

Excellent project! Thanks for all the time and effort to walk us through each phase. I'm guessing that all told you have about $13K in it? Really nice structure for that amount of money.

Good advice on using gutters instead of extending overhang. I'm wondering it you're thinking that you should have added any windows. Will lighting, or lack of, be a problem. Perhaps you plan to add a couple of solar lights?
