Extending how far the water falls off of the building will create splashing when the water hits the ground. This can cause erosion, and actually put more water under your walls.

gutters are what I would use.

Most of the length of the building has a tarp under the base of crushed red brick so I'm not concerned about erosion so much.

Another idea I have it to put down a layer of plastic to seal the bottom and another layer of crushed red brick to help disperse the run off.

I'm with Eddie on this one. Gutters with leaf guards, downspouts hooked to underground drains to take it away from the building. The problem will be 100% solved with minimal effort. I think trying to control the water after it reaches the ground is a lot more work with a less than perfect chance of working.

I have a similar layout 54' x 31'. I have about 6" of chips and dust over fabric and the roof is about 8" past the sidewall.

20 years ago, my nephew had access to unlimited 1" decorative stone, so his architect designed his 3,000 SF house to not have gutters,,
the stone and pipe was to take the water away,,

Well,, he suffered for about 5 years,, then added gutters,,
I to hate gutters, but, they do work, and I have them on almost every edge of my buildings,,

I have another friend that had a gutter company stop by, and run out the lengths he needed of industrial sized gutters.
He installed them himself,,

He says they are perfect, being so large, with the large down pipes, he says he has little issue with leaves , etc... .

I had oversized gutters put on when I did mine too, still have trouble sometimes due to all the pine needles here, but I'm not afraid to climb a ladder and tend to it.

Did a little work to try and limit the moisture coming under the frame yesterday. Will still probably have to do gutters. Also did some decorating.

I pulled all the gravel out from the side and tapered the ground so it slopes away from the building. I put some 6mil plastic down and folded it up a couple inches on the side and out 2-1/2 ft from the building then put all the gravel back on top of that. That should prevent the water from seeping through under the frame but will probably result in a drip line in the gravel.

We also planted some plants along the side that faces the front of our property. I overlapped some landscape fabric on the gravel edge and out another 3 ft to further mitigate washout. We covered the landscape fabric with no float cypress mulch. It's supposed to rain all week so it will get tested.

Wife found this eagle at a junk shop and wanted it on the front.

Looks like the grade on the left side is low ? Build that up and add a small berm ? Nice shed . Kevin .

Yeah the land slopes left to right. Left side is the high side. I have it lower outside the brick line but I still need to do on the left what I did on the right.

They didn't have enough of the crushed brick to build a level pad so I made four 4' wide runners for the frame to sit on. When they process more brick I plan to fill the inside level and make a apron on the front.
