I copied this off the New Holland Page:

Now a factory-installed SuperSuite cab, available on the TC40DA and TC45DA, takes your comfort to a new level. This cab features a high-visibility roof panel so you can see the loader through its full range of operation.

I did price the TC40DA last Saturday and was quoted $36,000. And on the same day I priced a TC34DA without a cab , but including FEL and 72mmm, $28,000

Well, I'm wrong, there ya go
We paid like 35k for our TC45 (with one remote), cab, FEL, radio etc
It doesn't have enough power though, even the 45 to run all the goodies, go along with PTO and run the A/C.
The TC40 would be worse.
The TC45 needs about 5 more hp.

That's still a goshdarngood price from the OP

Somebody has designs on your money. $36k for a TC40DA with cab and mmm is full price plus... It sounds like your dealer is trying to accelerate his retirement account off these new model tractors. Do you realize that people have bought almost brand new (harvest lease return) TC40DAs with 16LA FELs with low hours for half that price? Is a cab and a MMM worth $12,000? The tractor and FEL would be around $24k tops ($25.5k for a TC45DA).

Now you have me worried about the power issue. I move quite a bit of snow in the winter with my loader and want enough power. I had a 01 35D which did great and I definitlely want at least that much power. With the 40da and a cab will I? By the way this is a brand new hydro.

I don't think so
I think it's pretty wimpy machine. A 45hp machine should do way better.
Now, in the winter it should do better because the A/C won't be kicking on and robbing 5hp, but if you want something this size, you should get the most HP you can in it.
the 45 is already a dog, I would really think the 40 would be bad.

Ok, part of it may be that I'm at 5000feet, and this is a non-turbo model, so that's going to hurt some, people at sea level may not have the same issues.
BTW, this current TC45 is MUCH better than the lemon piece o-junk TC45 i had the first time. But it's still a dog on hills.

The cabs only come with hydrostat's (don't ask me why, would be a better machine with gears), so compare apples to apples. Best price I've seen is about 34k. (FEL, TC45, hydrostat, cab, Deluxe model (only way they come)

Sounds like you should pony up for a turbo at 5k!

35DMAN,This may sound dumb. This tractor is a 4wd, with a New Holland loader? If so, what is the phone # of your dealer. Do you guys have any concerns about using a hydro tractor in the winter?

Yes everything is New holland. I never had problems with my 35D hydro even in the coldest temperatures. That tractor was perfect all 6 years I owned it. I just got an offer I couldn't refuse. I am just on the fence over buying one with a cab. I wonder how hard they are to take off and put on.

I don't think your going to be taking one of the factory cabs on and off. They are intended to be a permanent part of the tractor. I'm sure there is a way to get it off but I would think that would only be for some sort of service/repair work. If you want a hard side cab for the winter only I'd look into a curtis cab. They are not nearly as nice as the factory cab but they'll keep you warm, come off the tractor pretty easily, and they are only around $3000.
