I have a Steiner 525 with approximately 700 hours on it. Presently, it is very sluggish when trying to drive it. I sense that the engine seems to be missing a beat, and there is very significant loss of power. As to the driving of it, the forward/reverse lever is stiff to work, and the tractor slows down or stops almost completely whenever it starts to go up even a slight incline or when it encounters some kind of resistance, such as snow when I have the blower on or trying to push when I have the blade on. Any suggestions? Filters have been tried!
