Problems with float

   / Problems with float #41
You have circled the correct parts.. Again, from the drawing it looks like two bolts on the right. On the Messicks parts catalog for the la211 under the control valve section look at "CONTROL VALVE ## S.No; > 30001..." and find two bolts marked "050". There may be 4 of them instead of two. They drop bolts from the drawings some times to keep it from getting too cluttered if there are already enough bolts to get the idea across.

Heck for that matter, you may be able to pop out the bolts marked "030" to get the whole plate off too. But the valve body is really what your interested in..

The "CONTROL VALVE [COMPONENT PARTS][4-position C/V] ## S.No; > 30001 ...." shows the guts of the valve and the part numbers you may need for the detent pieces.

You won't lose much fluid. Some will drain from the valve body when you remove the hoses, probably 1/2 cup or so. Just tie the hose ends up high after you disconnect them and you should be good. If they fall on the floor gravity will leave you with a mess over night. ALSO: BE SURE TO MOVE THE LEVER AROUND TO RELIEVE ANY PRESSURE IN THE SYSTEM BEFORE YOU REMOVE THE HOSES. If you pull the hoses and there is pressure, you may get an unpleasant shot of hydro fluid. Have a rag handy, and an oil pan (a $1 aluminum roasting pan works good, and is disposable) to set the valve in to drain.

Good luck and let us know how it goes so the next guy can get some insight into fixing the problem.
