It varies. We get a couple of weeks leasing back the old place. Not much here, a couple of beds, washer, dryer and fridge. Then motels. Gotta take the young un back to Lubbock in a couple of weeks. Probably stay there a couple of days. Wife is working in SA, so I may go down there a few days since the company pays for her lodging. I need to be up at the new place some, too. Probably in Mt. Pleasant as it is the nearest place with more than 1 or 2 motels.

Just got back from bringing another truckload of stuff. Installed a mailbox, so now I can do a change of address! After we got back home, this showed up out there...counter tops!

Don't make the same mistake we did. Go to the Post Office and make sure your new address is in their database. We didn't do that. The 911 District gave us our new address, I put up a mailbox. When mail showed up at the Post office, the address was not in their database. Their system chose the closest address to us and automatically did a change of address for us to that address. Took us a bit to realize it as the nice lady across the street with that address was putting our mail that she got in our box. By then everyone that had mailed us something had changed our address to her address in their system. Took the better part of a year to fix it with everyone. I had to submit a change of address from her address to our address.

Good sized kitchen!!! It's really nice seeing stained wood in a kitchen. The trend is to paint them white or grey, and I make a lot of money doing that, but I sure do prefer the look of wood over paint!!!
Me too. We live in a doggone forest. Seems criminal to hide the wood. Wife made a budget call on the bath and laundry cabinets and they are painted.

The fireplace will have some stone facing added, too. I'm looking forward to going back out tomorrow or Friday to see the countertops installed.

When I built my house, I saved a buck and went with white bathroom cabinets. I've hated them since installing them. They where priced right, and they have done what they are supposed to do, but if I ever catch up on all my other projects, a major bathroom remodel is gonna happen!!! I also went with one piece tub/shower fiberglass units that I hate. Nothing wrong with them, but I don't want a bathtub anymore, and I really like tile a lot better then fiberglass.
