$1.19/gal. Not the best price I've seen but I won't complain. I think it may actually end up $1.09 paying cash, we'll see Monday when it's delivered. We only burned about 500 gallons last year, that quite an improvement over years past by running a couple small space heaters. Electricity is cheap here, less that .05 cent per kilowatt so I think it make sense. Winters coming, time to put the chains and blade on the tractor.

$1.89 a gallon down here, but I rarely use over 350 gallons a year, so I don't get any discounts

I think it's holding at about 1.19 or lower around here. Doesn't look like much will be needed for grain drying since mother nature was kind. And I think the suppliers have added a lot of storage capacity since the crisis so I expect it should hold around there barring a brutal winter.

3 months ago, filled my 1000 underground for 1.24. Americas, usually the highest price around, called me a week later and asked if I'd like to be topped up for the winter for .99. Oh well. Dead of winter here and the prices tend to go up to near $3.

Is that a you own it or they own it tank?

I own my tank so I can shop around. Most of my neighbors don't, and are on "keep filled" agreements with one company or another. The propane companies with the "captive" customers charge about a buck more than I pay by shopping around. My 1000 gal. underground cost me $5K all up a few years ago. I'm to the good side of that now as savings have paid for it. (Above ground 1000 costs a hair under $3K here.

I got tired of not owning my tank and paying stupid prices. Bought a 500 gallon tank and paid 99 cents to fill it (their current price for 300+ gallons). Was paying $2.99 when I was tied to the other provider.

I don't buy it in bulk but a local dealer was filling 20# "grill" bottles here for $7...that is half the regular price...methinks they were probably breaking even and their regular profit margin is close to 100%...??

$2.49 yesterday to top off 100 gal tank. Tank was at 30% now over 80% ticket say 58 gal delivered.

I'm hoping to burn off the last 400 gallons in my 1,000 gallon tank so I can put a new seal on the gauge. It has a really slow leak I've been wanting to fix for a couple of years. I only burned 200 gallons last year. Lat time I filled just over 3 years ago the summer fill price was $1.35.

We are still getting gouged at. Here I thought at .49 a litre was a good deal but then that adds up to 2.24 gallon.

We would go through $800 each year at the cabin...

Two years ago a bear damaged the line at tank and we lost contents...

Propane company charged to repair and fill... and padlocked our tank so we couldn't turn it on without safety inspection.

I turned it on and asked the company to come and get their lock... they broke valve and had to replace on their dime... we own the tank.

So for the first time in since 1964 we had the gas shut off all winter and didn't use any propane...

That bear might be saving us a bundle going forward... simple enough for me to turn on and light pilots when occupied... that 400+ gallons might last for many years...

Last time fill was $3.89 gallon with taxes, hazmat, etc...

Always had a phone at the cabin, my grandmother insisted so she could reach us... folks would never give it up as lines were limited so giving one up could mean years if you wanted one... and it was a huge deal to get one 50 years ago!

In 6 years less than a dozen outgoing calls... yet fees and charges run about $400 annually... all the kids have cells... Mom doesn't and does not want one.

Old wall rotary dial also from 1964

I no longer use propane but used to start shopping around for fill up in July/August. Got the better prices. Winter time usually saw a 50% increase in cost.

Boy, those propane companies are making a TON of money this winter.. Propane spot price is about 33 cents per gallon. Sure there is processing, and storage, and delivery.. BUT $1.00 a gallon would be a killing. This is not like a couple of years ago when the spot price was over $1.50 per gallon Sooo. the spot price is 1/5 of what it was.
