Well y'all.

We are going to pick up my tractor Sunday.

I'll take pictures.

But will only have a couple days to mess around before our next snow comes in.

Hubby still doesn't think we'll use it enough to make it worth while.

Hahahaahahaha.... .. . . ("Let me count the ways...")

I think he's settled on humoring me, so that's cool. ;)

:laughing::laughing: The Honey Do List will be a thing of the past. It won't be long just like the rest of us He'll be looking for things To Do With It. And so will you when you find just how much you can easily do with it:D

Remember how the 0l-child psychology works? you get on the tractor and ACT like you can't figure out how things work, then before you know it Hubby will be in the drivers figuring it out for you,;) the problem with this though is now you'll be asking him could you please use the tractor for a while:D
Really though if this tractor is setup with a FEL you be going for the tractor even to just moving a sack of feed, and so will he;)
my tractor and FEL sure have saved my back more than a few times....

Well, I now am a Yanmar owner! :)

It's out in front of the house on the trailer.

Got home in daylight, but hubby had something to go to, so we left it on the trailer for the night. (Not a good idea to unload it in the dark by myself. )

To review:

A YM2000D with a fairly new Bush Hog FEL with a 5' bucket and a 4' Tractor Supply bush hog (King Kutter?) with a stump jumper.

The previous owner was the first owner post Japan as far as we can tell. He decided against having it repainted (the dealer asked him, he said nahh...) So it has Japanese and English instructions and original paint. (He recently painted the wheels for the heck of it.)

The hour meter actually died not long after I saw it but it is 900+ hours. Has a Thermostart. Agricultural tires front and rear. The starter was rebuilt in December. No fluid leaking of any significance. 2 quarter sized spots - 1 front 1 rear. No smoke.

It has been very nicely maintained and the guy even changed a seal a couple weeks ago on the right front wheel even though he knew I was going to take it. I think he was having a few twinges of regret today as he hadn't found his replacement tractor yet. (His wife couldn't believe he sold it :( )

Here are are our loading pictures (husband is in blue jacket).

Oh yeah -- thanks guys for the input on trailers (California, DnD) We ended up borrowing a 12' dual axle. Fit beautifully with bush hog in the truck bed.

I am a happy camper. :D

That is a nice looking tractor, loader, and mower. I notice you keep saying "my" tractor. Doesn't sound to me like "poor" husband is going to get any seat time at all! :D

If he says pretty please with sugar on top. :p

Actually "my truck" is now "the truck." (He often says "Mrs. L, I love your truck.")

Just told him what you said and he roared.

Gotta run and unload it. :)

WoW!! Look At That what a find:cool: IMO couldn't have picked a better model. That will last you for yrs. I kind of get the impression the previous owner wanted you to have hit. luckly I have other Tractors that are capable in doing what my 2000 can't which is not much. I found mine is a keeper and it will be hard to replace for what I have in it. The Bad is the Prev. owner is having to go through it now. Going to be hard to do in replacing it...

Yeah -- about the former owner -- very nice guy. He was pretty tall and wanted something that physically fit him (legs -- getting older and old football injuries) a little better as well as maybe a little more power.

He's looked in Concord (for those of you in NC, SC, GA who watch CL), and went down to Hartsville, SC (M&M Equipment). Told him about Spaulding. On the way out of Charlotte I saw Parker Farm Equipment which looked like it had some pre-owned tractors on their lot (NH & Kubota dealer). There's some guy in Griffin GA also? He may not end up with another Yanmar (Kubota?).

He looked at a Mitsubishi, and one remark he made was some of their parts are plastic.

I backed it off the trailer this morning (ramps are short so it was rather steep. Mmmm. Second time driving and it was backwards down hill ) Told my husband I wanted to do it over again so he could take a picture. He thought I was serious. ;)

Anyway. Will head out later and play with it moving manure and hay.

I like the simplicity and seemingly (as I see it now) straightforwardness of the design. Something breaks? It's fixable, not some occult science.

I just looked at the pictures (and looked out my window) and I do believe I have been blessed. :)

I seen that on the Pic. loading it up. Now you have a better of why I bought the size and model of my trailer. If y'all plan on transporting it alot get a Dove Tail. Nothing to driving on and off of it. I know my Thrill Seeking Wheelie Days are long Gone and over with.;)

Carey, you mentioned wheelies and remind me of when I sold my Kubota, the man was proud to get the tractor and thought he better get use to loading it himself and the trailer was pretty high off the ground with 5 ft long ramps,....
anyway I had always kept a 30" chunk of R/R track prolly weigh 100 lbs, for extra weight on front of the tractor, I wanted to keep this R/R track for an anvil so I removed it before selling the tractor,.... You know where I'm going with this:cool: well the man started up the ramps slowly and got about halfway and the front started coming up he then hit his break, Now I say 1 break:confused2: without pressing in the clutch and the tractor started pulling to the right, well thanks to my fast thinking and already being up on the trailer platform I jumped up on the bumper with my 220 lbs and slam the front back down, by this time he had press in the clutch, I told him to lower the idle speed and to drive on forward,:) You know thinking back on that day that was a pretty stupid move I made jumping up on the front of that tractor like that, I could have been killed:cool: Needless to say after seeing him do that I hand over the pc of R/R iron and told him to put it back on there before he attempt to unload it,;)
and Yes! as mentioned need a dovetail trailer, I added one to the rear of mine and a lot of times I can find a place to load and unload keeping the ramps completely level:thumbsup:
