With a loader? I rented a U-haul car carrier to get my YM240 (YM2000) home. About half the bucket of the loader was beyond the back of the trailer.

A mower wouldn't have fit. I brought this and my subsequent implements home in my 4x8 trailer.

I brought my 2210 home on a 16' trailer. It has a loader, and we had the 5' bush hog on........it JUST fit. In my opinion, you'll need a 16 foot trailer. I was able to lay the bucket down forward of the deck, onto the tongue of the trailer. Your tractor should be a little smaller, and the cutter definitely is smaller.

Best of luck to you getting it home!!!!!

The one in GA was possibly Spalding Tractors, they get theirs from Fredricks in AL.

If you get a Fredricks tractor. You'll get a good tractor:thumbsup:

How about if we put the bush hog in the bed of the truck? (mmmm ... how to do that?)

But the longer trailer is the obvious answer.

i used a car carrier and curled the bucket under and sat it on the drawbar as i had a slasher on the back and it fitted easily (YM1500) so a 2000 and mower should fit OK

Lift it with the loader and set it in there!! That is one of the things loaders are for.

Beat me to it MJ.

Yes i would buy the 4ft cutter for $200, thats a steal as it is prolly around $500 new. 6 hours on that cutter is one good day or 2 days of work, if kep inside the bottom and blades should just be shiney. And if they were going fast that cutter could only have cut about 5 acres in that time it was used maybe 6.

You will need a 16 ft carhauler type trailer. I dont have a loader and can fit my tractor and BH easily. I actually put my disk harrow or field cultivator up front and will either back the BH over the cultivator and lower it onto it and strap implements and tractor down in reverse or recently i will pull foward till inches away from the fron implement and will (due to the 2 ft dovetail) put my spare tire on the middle of the trailer and lower my bushog down onto it to keep the tailwheel up in the air and from hitting the road on things like railroad crossing and pulling out of a shopping center or resturarant parking lot onto the road. My point here is that my implement up front and the tractor , ym2000, and the 4ft BH on the back is prolly a little longer of a setup that the loader would be cause i cant set the implement up front on the tounge a little like a bucket would go. I have a 16 ft trailer and thats just what i need. The most i have hauled is my 4 ft 16disk harrow the tractor 4 ft BH the 4 ft boxblade set longways beside the tractor on one side and a 5 ft piece of RR track. That was all that trailer really wanted on it, w/ 2, 3.5K axles.

Here's an update.

So here's a question: How big a trailer do I need to haul it home? (How big is your trailer carey063?) I don't think the FEL is quick attach. We have accesss to a trailer, but I am thinking it is only 12 feet.

Input appreciated. Thanks.

Glad to hear your getting it. The trailer I have I bought just for my Ym2000. It's 18-2ft. dove tail. 7000 lb.Dual axle brakes  Better safe then sorry. Esp. in the mountains. Everything fits perfect with room for a Loader and still have the 2ft.DT. if needed. When we picked up the YM2500 and BH. no Loader it fit on the deck and and still had room for a loader just would of had to use the DT for some of the BH.

Well y'all.

We are going to pick up my tractor Sunday.

I'll take pictures.

But will only have a couple days to mess around before our next snow comes in.

Hubby still doesn't think we'll use it enough to make it worth while.

Hahahaahahaha.... .. . . ("Let me count the ways...")

I think he's settled on humoring me, so that's cool. ;)

Well y'all.

Congratulations!
It sounds like a decent deal. A tractor is a lot like a mule.; it doesn't have to look fancy, what counts is that it is a hard worker.

Another thing to remember is that a tractor by itself is nothing more than a sort of slow and uncomfortable way to travel. It's the implements that do the work. A tractor is just a mobile powerplant to work an implement with. So don't short yourself on implements. Implements can be even uglier than tractors and still work well, but you don't know until you try them just which ones will fit the work you want to do on your land. Most of us end up with a few implements we work with a lot....as well as a miscellaneous group that that rarely get used but we had to try them. Probably the most popular single implement is a front end loader, but they are expensive.
enjoy! rScotty
