OK,
That is a good setup you did with the pallet.
The way i had mine was on a skid that stayed on the ground and i didn't have it fixed to lift with my 3-point.

IMHO.. it's unsafe to run the gen with it not mounted.. even on the skid, that's alot of rotational energy and they can flip .. by bolting mine to the carry-all it not only makes it easy to transport.. but makes it stable as well.
