Here is my .02 worth. Id rather be alive, than look for cracks in orange paint. There isnt a weed that needs mowed, or acerage that couldnt wait for a new shaft if I was in that situation. That is dangerous, Id have no part of it.

The NH dealer(NOT THE ONE SOLD ME THE BUSH HOG OR TRACTOR) is about 2 blocks from where I work , I was going to take the shaft with me tomorrow and Just check his prices.. Since I only bush hog maybe 1 a year (last year my neighbor did it for me) If he wants too much money might try the paint and duct tape Idea.. Thanks again... /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

If you do replace the shaft.. try TSC.. they sell pto shafts.. if you uise the old one.. just be carefull.. be very carefull.
How do you like your 7610? I just picked up one myself.

We have 4 sizes of shields that will interchange with any size and make of PTO driveline . The shield bearings are the only things that change.
Also we have great experience and knowledge and will answer any questions.
