PTO Trouble

my only thought is that there could be some sort of physical 'stop' to prevent the mid pto lever from being engaged if the rear is already engaged. that shouldn't be impossible, or too much to ask.

There is no lever to move. It is electric buttons. The lockout could be done with diodes and a latching relay to only allow the proper sequence.

i lost track of the original poster's tractor/setup...i was referring to my mechanically engaged pto when i mentioned a stop.

but yea, if it's electronic, would probably be even easier to prevent the mid from engaging when the rear is running...until the electronics fail!

Only on the 4x10 series. The 4x00 is levers-I helped WayneH add the Mid-PTO to his 4400 tractor, you really want to pull up the mid-PTO lever BEFORE engaging the rear!
