Now, I'm proud of you!!!! You won't regret it. I promise! It is a huge improvement over the X Loader. I should know, becuase I had the 420 Loader on my last tractor which the 300x is the replacement for.

Now that I have the 300cx, I couldn't be any happier. A small price to pay for the big investment.

Don't you feel better now, that you won't be hating yourself later for not going with 300cx.

NOW YOU HAVE A GREAT TRACTOR! CONGRADULATIONS!

Congrats on the new machine. I was just at my dealer yesterday for some maintenance items, but couldn't help looking around the lot. They had a 3320 with the 300cx loader and it really looked like a stout machine. I have the 430 and if had known that the 300cx was around the corner I would have held out on the purchase.

I have a backhoe on mine as well and use it more than I thought I would. For instance, I'm always finding stumps with my bush hog and its nice to be able to quickly fix those annoying little problems.

One more thing. Get chain hooks put on the bucket. It's the best $10 investment you'll ever make.

Thanks, guys...
Yes, I do feel better now that I went with the CX loader. Actually, when I went by the dealer yesterday afternoon to take him a check and mentioned the CX to the manager, he told me that he and the salesman had been discussing talking to me about doing that. I asked the price, he said $400, and I just added it to my downpayment check.

Regarding the hooks on the bucket, I have a garage & machine shop, so I'll just weld those as I need them. I love the looks you get from people when you pull your brand new $25000 piece of machinery up and start welding on it!!!

You did the right thing with the CX. I just got a 3720 with a CX and never even considered the standard loader!
Actually I really wanted the 400CX...but needed a smaller frame tractor this time around. I certainly which JD was smart enough to offer auto leveling on the 300CX. Those nimrods! /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif The loaders are identical in design and I would have gladly paid the extra $$

Don't feel bad about not having a cab. They are not compatible with the 447 backhoe, unless you want to stand while using it /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Stopped by dealer today. Everything is in for my 3320 except the power beyond kit. Apparently there is a problem getting these from Deere. Now, they're talking about a ship date of 6/20 for the kit. (Originally, everything was to be in by the 13th.) Has anyone else who recently purchased a 3X20 ran into this? I know it's only another week, but it seems rediculous that such a simple, common part would be so hard to get ...

I waited on add-on stuff for my 3520. A few days over a month if memory serves correctly. The tractor itself was on the lot, but I waited on one or more of the options for quite a while.
It seems JD uses "just in time" warehousing, although I'd refer to it as "a little too late" warehousing.
I have heard our story repeated endlessly on these forums...

It's just annoying. I have an automotive electrical business, and almost any part I ever need I can generally get here overnight if I want to spend an extra 20 - 30 bucks. I know a lot of companies are not stocking expensive, slow moving parts, but this is a $250 part that is commonly sold (or am I weird for ordering a backhoe on my tractor???) If I didn't like the Deere so much more than the Kubota's I looked at, I'd cancel it!

By the way, jeepinator...I assume from your nickname that you're a Jeep guy. What ya' got? Mine's a '78 CJ5 that I just did a frame-off rebuild of last year.

No, getting a BH is not wierd. Perhaps wierd is what I did and got the power beyond and not a BH to go with it /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
My nickname is a little over the top for how much of an enthusiast I am these days. The very first forum I ever registered for was jeepsunlimited.com and I had just purchased a 2001 WJ with all the goodies. And I have just kinda used the same nickname wherever I go.
That's no to say I don't love Jeeps, but I have only ever owned this one (and still own it). But I do wheel it. Its a Jeep after all.

billyo, it happens with Kubota too. I've waited two months for a quick-attach, a pallet fork frame with forks and a remote joystick for the FEL. Same thing for my rear wheel spacers. A week or two is a reasonable delay. I have to say though that my dealer didn't wait for the missing parts and he delivered the tractor and the rest came later. I know that waiting for a new tractor is unbearable. Keep up! If you can get your owner's manuals right now it's good too.

I'm looking forward to see some nice pics of that new baby. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Well, I got up this morning and decided that I was at least gonna interrupt someone's golf game. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I called JD's corporate headquarters to discuss my issue. I spoke with a very nice lady (who knew her tractors...) and explained the situation in detail. I assured her that I was very pleased with my dealer and with the deal on the tractor, but that I thought it was just plain silly that a company of JD's status was having difficulty supplying it's dealers with a $200 part to make their backhoes work. If I had to wait, so be it - but I thought they should be aware of the problem. She told me that she would see to it that the appropriate person received my complaint, and got my contact info and info on the part. She said someone would call me in a day or two. I figured that was the end of it, but it made me feel better.
This afternoon, I received a call from one of their regional offices. The gentleman apologized for the problem, and much to my surprise (and delight...) told me that he had contacted the factory and secured the power beyond kit, which would be shipped out via next day air to my dealer and my tractor should be delivered to me by the end of this week barring any unforseen problems. I again stressed to him that I am really pleased with my dealer, and he assured me that they had talked to the dealer and everyone realized it was a JD issue. (I stopped by the dealer later, and they actually seemed pleased that I had called...)
I am very impressed. At the most, I expected perhaps a phone call in a few days with an apology and an explanation, and would have been satisfied with that. These folks went the extra mile and addressed this quickly - They've made a John Deere man out of me and I don't even have my tractor yet! I'll not bother looking elsewhere for any of my tractor / implement needs.
