I'm thrilled at the "no response" to the liberal big government advocate. Keep up the good work!!! As Roy says.... "don't feed the troll"....

For %$#$ sakes, this isn't the not so "Friendly Politics" forum. It was a valid point, stop sh&^ing on the guy just for the sake of it.

KiotiKen,

It didnt take long for your avatar to change now that your CK has a new bigger brother..

GGB,

The 1 HP on 115V may be borderline on amperage depending on the size and length of existing electrical line and how much the other pump draws too. If they not run at the same time it may be OK.

I have had a sprinkler system for 29 years and have done all my own maintenace through those years- doesn't make me an expert though. When mine was installed they told me that they did install them sometimes to pump water from a pond. They said filtering IS IMPORTANT. Also, many heads are in the 1 to 3 gallon per minute range and one would want a safety margin. If your 4 heads in total need say 10 gallon per minute flow rate I would make sure I had about 30 % more and remember that those valves are designed to have a maximum pressure also.

Carl-NH,

Good point about the amperage-My electrician will be out next week on another project, so I'll run it by him. The wire is in conduit so it might not be too difficult to upgrade if needed.
