Pushing T-posts in with FEL?

Basic T- Post Driver #98E

I don't drive many posts but tools draw my attention in case I may want to use one. This air operated driver fascinated me so I did the internet searches for air driven post drivers. Rhino has one for around $4000.00, yep $4000.00 where this one above is $450 but then I found one at Northern Tool (it's on ebay but sure it can be bought from Northern Tool direct) for under $400. No, I'm not buying......now but if I were/do then I'd go for this one no more than I'd use it.

I'll trade you 4 18" tires on Chrome rims (listed on Lexington Craigs list) for your cultivator. Bring it with you and pick up the tires.:thumbsup:

It's storming to beat the band right now and the runoff generally goes through the area where I want the posts, maybe the ground will be softer tomorrow. I'll get a scoop of gravel in the bucket and see how it does. I'll probably end up taking a handful of ibuprofen and using the shoulder wrecker instead.

Depends what they're made of and what you are driving them into.
Steel ? Yes, if into fairly rock free soil.
F/glass ? No.

Broke it yesterday. Only thing I could find in a 2" wide square U bolt when I built it was 1/4". They couldn't quite take the strain. I'll have to go with backer plates and regular bolts when I get around to fixing it.
