I am putting an accumulator on my Farmall 110c for the 3 point hitch. I believe the port is right under the cab but no one at my dealership can tell me for sure. I have also heard it may mess with my draft control but will worry about that more when I figure out where to hook it in. I believe they would call this the pressure test port. I think all CaseIH Farmall C tractors are probably in the same spot but not positive. Anyone every install one on these tractors?

are your lift cylinders internal or external. you can just follow the hoses if they are external but if they are internal, hopefully someone with more knowledge of your specific tractor will chime in.

Mine are internal. Went and looked at a new 110c and they have spots to put externals bolt on. Two hoses coming out the back with plugs in them. Mine is 3 years old and does not have them :(

your dealer should be able to tell you what port is the test port for the three point lift circuit. you just need to tee into that circuit.

lots of snow removal contractors running around with accumulators on the 3pt hitch. they must have set up at least one, a good service manual should have the info you are looking for.

You would certainly think so. I finally went there earlier in the week and told them I was going to stand there until someone could look it up and point me in the right direction. They got the info for me and I hooked it up yesterday. This dealership is 5 stores and never done one for 3pt hitch.

May I ask reasoning for installing accumulator on 3pt hitch hyd circuit?

to avoid breaking the 3pt hitch when roading with a heavy attachment. most snow removal contractors use them up here. there is a safety valve in the 3pt hitch that protects from shocks but the properly setup accumulator also improves the ride greatly. it really smooths things out. I have a dual setup on my loader and one on the 3pt hitch.

I have one set at a lower pressure for when the loader is empty and one at a higher pressure when the bucket is full. some manufactures call them ride control or soft ride.

the amount of nitrogen pressure is important. not enough and it will bounce too much and if you have to much nitrogen pressure in it it won't really do anything. and of course it all depends on how much your attachment weighs.

Thank you for your explanation. I understand your reasoning.

Sure makes carrying heavy loads with the Kubota M59 FEL so much smoother. Just makes sense. Only very rarely do I valve the accumulators out to pallet fork a load or rigging steel. Guess with a 3pt system a manual or solenoid valve could be used to return the system to normal like with draft control.
