QUADPHOSPHOR FLUORESCENT TUBES

I asked my electrician to put triphosphor tubes in the houseboat instead of the norm, he said we would go one better and install quad tubes, saying they are 20% better than the triphosphor. How come I can't find any reference to these on the net? Can anyone put some light on these for me (sorry about the pun

All the searches refer to compact tubes but i have standard shape tubes in normal battens.

When I did a search on the triphosphor tubes. Noticed that every site that came up is UK or other country but not USA. May not be what we call these type florescent tubes.

If I were you I would forget the whole new fangled idea of electric lights and just use what is common for you guys in the outback...candles and oil lamps!

No seriously this is a pic of a tube , It is in your lingo about 2ft long x 1" in dia

Since it seems to be something new or not readily available. I would be concerned about getting replacement bulbs.

The batten is standard so I will be able to put in ordinary tubes if need be. I have been told that these quad tubes are what the supermarkets are now useing.
