Question about 3pt hitch dump boxes

Just be careful if you "scoop" in reverse, the 3pt's strong direction is forward, not reverse.

I've been thinking of building something like this for carrying firewood. But it might be better to make it as a front loader attachment where I have more lift and already have the tilt.

If you have the means, you could build one of these, and build it to suit the size tractor you have. Pretty handy for hauling about anything, and I really need to get some stake pockets on the sides, for end boards. Mainly built for a little dab of ths or that, picking up a few rocks in the pasture etc.

I even used it for a weight on the back of the tractor when rolling the base material for my new buildings. Had it mounted on my Massey 180. Just backed the dump truck up to it, and dumped what fill material would stay on. When I was done, just hit the lever, and dumped it...

I think they are cat 1 boxes.

Thanks for all the pictures and ideas. I would use it mostly for hauling dumping trimmings into when I'm landscaping. I have a loader but a box like these would give me a larger area to empty my tarps into. The bucket isn't quite big enough. The one with the cylinder to dump looks like a real nice setup. Doubt i can get that fancy. Might end up with one of those carry all frames from tsc and build a deck on it or something.
