Question Cleaning Yanmar Injection Pump

That's what I was thinking ...Use a weak solution and maybe I won't hurt much.
The acid will not hurt rubber. If diesel fuel and acid are compatible I don't see much downside.

Or upside.
Forcing rust particles into the delivery valves and barrels of the injection pump is a bad idea.
Price a new pump and get a worst case estimate on professionally repairing that one.
The probability of you doing more harm than good are very high.

But your plan to try to clean it with some solution doesn't sound like a good one.
