Sy, the banner ads here are managed by TBN, not a third party.

Not so. All the ads on TBN come from doubleclick.net and TBN has no control over what is on doubleclick's servers, they have some control over which ads doubleclick will run on their site, but they have no control over what sort of bad code those ads contain, EXACTLY the same scenario and ad company as what caused the problems at NBC.com...

You can right click the ads and choose properties to see for yourself, both the banner in the header and the one on the right are currently showing <http://pubads.g.doubleclick.net> as the content source as I am typing this... Right click and choose Properties anywhere else on the page and it shows the content source as TBN.

I don't get a "properties" option. So you are saying that TBN has no control over the banner ad's on their own site....I respectfully disagree. Or, are you saying that they also allow doubleclick to pay to run their ad's here?

It is the doubleclick advert system that makes the back button useless.
No, its the stupidity of the IE programmers who apparently cant program their software properly. This only happens in IE, not in Chrome or Firefox.

TBN has fantastic exposure, so I am just trying to get an idea of how many TBN'ers are knowingly or unknowingly running a adblocker such like the one google Chrome automatically installs. To be honest, I didn't even know I had the ad's blocked until my wife purchased a banner here. We both run Chrome and neither one of us could see the ad...(it's the one at the top of the page every 3'rd click or so...Creek Country Real Estate) until we turned off the adblock plus which is that little stop sign next to the favorite place star. Sorry to veer off subject a bit, but ad's are not cheap so this is a big deal to us.

I can see your add at the top

I see no adds on this app. If I do, I'm not using it anymore. I don't look twice at Internet adds and never really do business based on adds. the world feels and looks dangerously like idiocracy LOL

I used to feel this way. But my opinion on ad's for "free' forums has changed over the last few years. It costs money to run a forum, and advertising pays for our free privilege. More so now since we have now generated an ad and my wife's company is small, very rural and she only has two agents working for her. The cost of advertising is pretty large for a small company, and we thought(think) TBN's fee was reasonable. I am kinda the "tech guy" her, but don't tell her I am learning new stuff every day....this internet education is exhausting.

I use the TBN App from Itunes on my IPAD and I have never seen an ad.

I run blockers. I hate ads.

I dread going to Youtube on my iPad because ads completely ruin the youtube experience. Watch a 2min video, wait for a 15 or 30 second add, watch another 2min video. Lather rinse repeat.
