Position control will bring the implement to a realitive position to the lift handle at the quadrant. for instance.. if you lift the implement to the desired height, and then made a mark with a marker as to where the lift handle was on the quadrant, and then, lifted the lift up full, or dropped it down, and then returned the handle to that mark, when you look back, the implement will be where it originally was...

My CK20 has a scale of number so that you can hit the same spot each time. The position control only requires that one move the lever to the desired position, and then goes to neutral without having to return the lever manually to neutral.

This system is much more accurate than 1/4" which does just that, moves in 1/4" increments, not as accurate. Having older style is even more work as the lever must be returned to neutral, and trying to hit the same spot each time is much more difficult without putting on check chains at different spots.

With position control, you can set it high or set it low as quickly as you can move the lever to the position, and you're done.

i remembered on the way home i dont think i tried the position control on the kubota and massey, it was a cub cadet, i probably assumed the other subcompacts were the same. the cub just had either full up or full down no inbetween.

Wow.. that sounds like a draft mode.. I've not seen any other scut with only up or down as an option.. perhaps it was adjusted wrong?
