questions about moving emplement pins

here is a few pictures of the part I am trying to describe, the red arrow shows the part with the slot and hole, and the blue arrow shows the part I have no idea what is suppose to connect here?
The position you see the rod in now will allow the lift lever to stick wherever I place it, although the way I found this linkage down in the end of the slot at the hole must allow the lever to kick back, in order to move it out from this placement it must be pulled and slipped over, there is a Tab & spring on the other side to keep tension on this linkage so's not to go back into the hole,

Yep looking from the top mine looks like that, except my linkage is at the other end of the slot. The under side i will have to look later.

Clemsonfor, While your looking could you please look and tell me what is missing on the linkage you seen with the Blue arrow points to in the picture?

And here's a diagram I put in that thread from the YM240 (YM2000) manual.

In summary I think the part bolted to the 3-point arm 'tells' the control valve that the arm has gone lower, so the valve opens and sends more fluid into the hydraulic cylinder. This should maintain the implement level even if the piston o-ring is in poor condition.

That thread was about YM2000 and I thought YM1700 would be the same. But there's no slot in YM2000 linkage. Does the slot look like it was added later?
