Quick attach bucket won't attach

Looking at your photos:

1. your adapter looks twisted about the torque tube.

2. the left hand hook is twisted counter clockwise looking down from the top.

Lay a straight edge across the top of the adapter to check. The tops of the hooks should lie in the same plane both horizontally and vertically. I don't think that yours do.

This looks like a warranty matter.

Vernon

I agree with Vernon, your cylinder rams are even, the QA isn't, it got twisted somehow. I remember seeing a thread with the same issue, was bent worse than your's..but if you can't use it..bent is bent.

Tried again today. Whacked one side with sledge with 3 pt hitch down and no movement. Picks up at top perfect but bottom stays away from bottom latch. Here's a couple picture showing the distance apart of arms on one side vs the other side. Also had to throw in a view shot.
Youre QA has a twisted torque tube. Try this: Tie your joystick in curl position. [Pump will labor against the relief valve.] This amount of force should torsion the torque tube enuf to get a line up. After you make the hookup cut the torque tube and reweld. -- FIXED.

John,

That's an issue that Kubota has had a problem with. I would contact your dealer about it and have them replace the QA under warranty. One of my good friends...SCDolphin has had this same issue. Hopefully, he will also respond giving you some insight...

I know the OP is gonna do the warranty thing, but if it wasn't under warranty couldn't ya just cut it then line it up and weld or hook it up and then weld it? Just thinking out loud.

Wushaw,

Yes, that's what I would do if it were out of warranty. I would also weld additional metal angle to add more strength to the tube.

Thanks for the input everyone. When I bought the tractor I had a QA adapter welded to my forks. I had used the forks to move a big rock and one pin came loose at the bottom. Couldn't get the forks to reattach. Thought the problem was with my forks. Had let set for a couple of months and went out to attach bucket back on. Bucket responded the same way as the forks. The tractor QA is obviously out of alignment looking across the top and up the side. Thought there may be a simple way to fix, that some one has experienced. Also this lets me know that others have had this problem so Kubota should be more inclined to fix at their expense. Will load it on my trailer and drop it off at dealer Barlow Equipment. I drive by his front door, business and home, almost every day going to work. He has great prices but I've never tested his service on the 6 Kubotas I've bought from him in the past 4 years. My trailer has the wire mesh ramp that I'm concerned about in loading the L3240. Planned on having extra angle iron welded on to it but guess I'll find out this evening what it will hold. Slowly.

Guys, this is so easy to fix.. just place the QA pad that is sticking out the furthest against an imovable object and curl the QA out to bend the tube back.. just take your time and do it a little at a time .. very easy. Or do the opposite and put the pad that is closer to the tractor under something heavy and curl the QA in a little bit.. the amount that needs to be bent back to shape is very little. I bet the operator did not have one of the pins locked correctly and curled the bucket down and bent (twisted)the tube.

Yeah. Good idea! Just block the appropriate cyl from retracting and curl to twist it back.

Didn't have the bucket on when it bent. Had forks on with a hugh rock on the forks. Drove it up the hill, layed it down and pushed it into place. Think the lower pin came out when I pushed the rock. Left the tractor with the dealer yesterday. Told him no hurry and a week would be fine to fix it and attach a hook on the top of the bucket while he has it. Will ask the mechanic how he fixed it when done. I tried the pushing against the immovable object and it didn't budge. Have this rock sticking out of a bank that's perfect for the immovable object stuff.
