Along with no leakage I would want ones with minimum pressure loss at flow. Every 200 PSI at 9gpm is more than a horsepower. I think the ones with poppet tip check valves are freer flowing than the ones with ball tips.canoetrpr said:I was at the local hydraulics shop getting my fittings and hoses for my new remote valve. I got a real shock when he priced out quick disconnects for me. $29 per female quick disconnect! About $55-$60 for a set - female and male.
They were shiny and silver and beautiful looking and had a "Made In Sweden" on them. I'm just wondering what the difference would be in quality of a set of these vs. a set from TSC - both male and female are $20 and they are steel - interchangable with Pioneer 4000.
I'd like to support the hydraulics shop as they have been very helpful with hoses and fittings but unless there is a good reason for me to go for the $60 ones, I might have to get the cheapo ones at TSC.
To top this off, its not like I plan to take my top and tilt cylinders off anyway ... so don't ask me why I am getting QDs to begin with.
Thoughts?
