Oddly enough, that is far less important to me. My daily PB&J is eaten uncut (I know, crude...). Grilled sammies are generally cut on the diag.

I have that same quirk. And can't use an odd piece of bread out of a loaf. the odds have to be left for somebody else, I have to go open a new loaf.

One of the most serious fights my wife (then in a fairly new marriage) and I had started from the "correct" way to fold towels in "thirds".

I fold them long ways from years in the army and hotels. She folds them wrong on the short side from her past working in B&Bs in order for the towels to fit in a narrow cupboard (or some such nonsense).
All of our towels are folded her way, I gave up.
But when I fold them when she's out of town or I end up doing them, I fold them my way and stick them in the cabinet in order to hear her muttering totally inappropriately words as she refolds them when she finds them!

Yes, and as we know...some battles are just not worth the fight! I wish I could have learned that early on.

I don't think I do. I DO like to keep my kitchen clean. Never any dirty dishes, pots, pans etc, etc anywhere. My wife enjoyed this foible of mine. She cooked - I cleaned up.

This is my wife 100%. I am situationally aware enough to make sure any sandwiches I make that she may eat are compliant, but if left alone, I've been known to use the last slice from one loaf of bread (even the heel) with one from another loaf for my own consumption, and lived to remember it... not brave enough to tell her I did it.

Hahahaha. With a redheaded wife, I wouldn't tell her either!

Me too. I clean up as I go. I can't sit down to eat if there's a pot or pan sitting on the stove.

Yeah, same here. I joke with a friend at work; "She cooks, I clean up. I cook, I clean up".
