Quitting Coffee

Quitting coffee today. Not because it's bad for my health, BUT because I've lost my coffee cup three times in the last ten minutes.

Hate it when that happens. I sometimes forget where I set my cup but always sniff it out. If I have to I will strap the cup to my hand before I give it up.
Maybe need to hire one of the local kids to hold it for me and follow me around so I don't leave it somewhere. There must be a solution.

convert a small back pack sprayer to a mouth piece / valve ( direct injection ...)

skip the mug and go for coffee intravenously ....

dang ... couldn't even think without the java first thing in the morning ....

I'd go get another cup. Eventually I'd find the missing cups. Been drinking coffee for 55 years now. I'd have severe withdrawals if I stopped cold turkey. I get headaches when I don't have enough.

Former columnist John Karas for des Moines Register gave up coffee when he retired. Then he later wrote: "I always thought that coffee kept me awake but it is not true. It kept me alive. When I sit down I immediately fall asleep."

My everyday mug is an old Aladdin. They don't make these anymore, so having only one, I started watching on EBay. Finally found another - paid $27 for a mug that probably sold for $2 - lol.

My travel mug is a stainless from Starbucks. I absolutely hate their coffee - tastes like melted tires - but they make an excellent travel mug.

They will take my coffee cup from my cold, dead hand. Unless my wife gets other ideas....

I quit coffee every day about 6 PM.

Then, I weaken the next morning and succumb.

I'm pretty sure most companies run on coffee before noon. Had to cut back on coffee for a while. Started to give me heartburn, really bad. I would have rather given up beer than coffee.

Interesting.. I have never drank coffee. I had to try a few sips when I was a cop. Cops run on coffee. I hated it. I realize probably the majority of people enjoy and too some degree "need" their coffee. I drink V8 vegetable juice in the morning for breakfast. I drink water thru the day. I will drink unsweetened ice tea.

My God - even the thought of giving up coffee gives me the cold sweats. I gave up cigarettes when they went to 55 cents in the vending machines, but coffee - never.
