Whelp, looks like he's mine to do what I please with. Kinda leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Like the contact I spoke with, the bird's owner seemed a few logs short of a chord. "I put the bird on the roof and he flew off, just like his parents."
OK, fine, but he's your bird... You banded it, you raised it, the thing doesn't know enough to eat corn kernels like a wild pigeon, be responsible... (I thought to myself) Whatever.
So I'm not sure what I'll do with it. Keep feeding it for now. I have a lot easier time dispatching a feral cat than I do a bird that was raised by humans and doesn't know what's what.

Guess you were right guys.
